NezzyFit: The First Month

August 29, 2017 0 Comments A+ a-

Hi guys! Nezzy is back to update you with my NezzyFit posts. On the previous one I told you about my plan on getting fit and healthier in 2017. So let's get to it!

On the previous post when I told you about my plan, I was saying I went into free trial for a gym. Yes I went there with my friend, Tia. It was a bit overwhelming to say because of the machines, the facilities, and the eye-candy (yes there were too many too see you would get distracted quickly!). No luck on the trial, I couldn't finish the trial properly because my head was spinning and getting very dizzy.

There was reason why I was like that. One, I hadn't been exercising for a while so my body was shocked to have such activity. Two, I hadn't eaten any 2 hours prior to trial. Three, I was suspecting I have short breathing and low blood pressure, which I will get to that in a second. All of those made me had to stop the trial and ended up sitting at the lounge area drinking hot tea. Luckily it didn't stop me to sign up on early August.

After I signed up, it was necessary to have 3 PT sessions, even though I didn't plan to have any PT session. I was interested with the classes but having PT let me notice my weakness and what I had to work on and what class the PT would suggest me on taking. It was really helpful and to think I got really nice PT which actually living next door (oops!) and we are the same age! What a surprise!

The nice PT during the three session I signed up was nice. He told me how to breathe better during exercise, what exercise I should take and which classes would help in between. He even told me on the reasons I might have that stopped me on continuing my trial session. It was really helpful to get me preparing stuff for my health and fitness issue.

Getting out of PT session made me realize that I have freedom to choose which time and classes or even activities I could do at the gym. Hence, it was difficult on the first two weeks to log in every classes that I planned on the gym app. Out of 6 classes I planned to take, only 4 that I logged in successfully. It shouldn't be that bad considering it was 66.66% of what I planned but still I think it wasn't enough. So now I try to stick to my plan even though there was plan out of gym that I need to do. Like last Saturday when I had to attend my high school friend's wedding. Right after I went to my spin class and successfully logged that in to the app. I felt accomplished already!

I know it would be a challenge, especially for me, a person who is lazy to move. At first I thought spin class was tough but when I first attended the class, the instructor was nice and even though the routine was tough, it was fun and challenging. If it was easy it wouldn't work for what I planned for. So I like how the class actually challenges me to do better and better. I think I will update this post every month to see how I've been each month so I could track my fitness with you guys! If you have any suggestion on any exercise I should take at the gym, please let me know in the comment box below! It would be really helpful :)
