Hi, My Name is...

Have you ever thought that your own name is part of your personal security? Let me get you some example.

Why are people changing their names when they want start their lives over? Why are agents using code names and not their own names? It might not make any sense years ago but today where technology are easily accessed, name as part of personal security is totally making more sense.

If you are not that tech-savvy,using Google alone can do the trick. If you are more tech-savvy, you can do more than just Google. Like even the person you look for don't do social media in the internet, there might still be traces on the internet because nowadays nearly everything is on the internet, including academic record and your CV.

No, I did not tell you to not put your name out there in the world wide wild web (yes I named it WWWW instead of WWW). I wrote this just to remind you that personal security isn't your ID numbers, your address, or even your phone numbers or email anymore. There might be people just casually curious or (hopefully not) people with bad motives such as stalking your personal space or even criminal and/or illegal related. I guess I don't have to give more example on cases like this. And no, I do not want to scare you. I just want you to be aware that internet (although it is different) is as dirty and wild as real world, no matter how you see it. You don't have to paranoid about it, just be sure that you know what you are doing in internet AND real world.
