Dear Phone #3
With the death of my XPERIA Z1, I was looking for a replacement that could fit 2 SIM cards and 1 external memory. Nowadays smartphones who have 2 slots is either 2 SIM cards or 1 SIM card and 1 external memory, which is called hybrid. Since it was quite difficult, the search took a while.
At first I was not convinced to buy Wiko smartphone. I haven't heard the brand at all. Wiko is a brand from France, still quite new since it was established in 2011. Although young, the brand itself has been named as 2nd largest smartphone brand in France. If you tried to look for the review and such you wouldn't find any in English since it is only well known in Europe. I think this is the first they try into Asia market.
I was convinced for this brand when the person from Wiko told me about the quality. Wiko Ridge Fab 4G, the one he promoted, has Sony lens for its camera and Philips flash. When you buy this phone, it has Android Kit Kat, but do not worry, the phone itself can be updated to Android Lollipop from the last update. Although comprised by good camera that doesn't mean it comes with good UI for the camera. You still have to get used to for best experience.
The QWERTY keyboard itself is quite unique. The usual QWERTY keyboard has its numerical on the top bar with the symbols on the bottom but the one in Wiko Ridge Fab 4G is the numerical positioned like the keypad for phone call and the symbols on the right side. Pretty unique but not bad. Once you update it to Android Lollipop, you'll get the emoji keyboard by clicking the smiley icon on the top right of the keyboard.
Wiko Ridge Fab 4G is called a phablet, which actually pretty small for a tablet but quite big for phone. It has slim design and removable battery so the slots are pretty much inside with only three buttons on the right side for volume control and power button. It is powered with 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM for internal storage. All those specs with 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, it comes with a very cheap price of IDR 2.7 million.
I might have to make a review video later in English knowing it's pretty difficult to find the English review. So far my experience with the handheld is pretty satisfying. The battery doesn't drain much and it doesn't heat up to the point it burns my hand. If there is any question regarding the phone, I hope I could answer properly for you, just put the questions on the comment box and I'll try my best to answer.
